«The Dream of Olwen» es una de las piezas más bellas que se han escrito para un Film …compuesta por «Charles Williams» para la pelicula «While I Live»… La versión de «Ron Goodwin» es tan extraordinaria como las imágenes creadas por dos grandes genios de la Imagen de mi pais…»Philcold y JesusCM»……

El genio de Jack Nitzsche»….así se llamó uno de sus múltiples discos…..La carrera de este gran compositor comienza al lado de uno de los más afamados músicos de la década de los 50’s y 60’s Philp Spector….pasando por artistas de la talla de Neil Young…Glen Campbell…Sonny Bono…y un largo etc… imposible de enumerar….Pero destacaría los arreglos de «Elusive Butterfly» de Bob Lind… uno de los temas básicos y más bello de los años 60’s..
En los 70 se sintió inclinado hacia las Bandas Sonoras….y la música de sus films… son de una grandiosidad espectacular…tan grandiosas como son las imágenes de » Philcold » que habitualmente acompañan algunos de mis videos- clips en «You Tube»…….

Louis Charles Auguste Claude Trénet …más conocido como Charles Trenet compuso ” La Mer ” junto a Leo Chauliac en un tren en 1943, fue grabada por primera vez en 1946….. “La Mer” es quizás aún más conocida gracias a sus versiones en otros idiomas, contándose más de 400 de éstas…. En inglés fue traducida como “Beyond the Sea” (Más allá del mar), y fue un éxito en la voz de Bobby Darin….Ha sido cantada en numerosas películas (tales como Soñadores de Bernardo Bertolucci) y series de televisión (más recientemente en la serie estadounidense Lost)….. También uno de sus temas, “Boum!”, es central en la película “Toto Le Heros” de Jaco Van Dormael (1991)…..”La Mer”, en la interpretación de Julio Iglesias, también es utilizada en la última escena de la notable película Thiker, Taylor, Soldier and Spy, traducida como “El espía que sabía demasiado”

De todas la versiones Instrumentales que existen siempre me ha parecido la mejor la de Franck Pourcel ….  un destacado director de orquesta francés…. Es también, uno de los pocos (posiblemente el único a gran escala) directores franceses que tiene reconocimiento en los Estados Unidos… Hoy nos damos un paseo por algunas de las playas más bellas de España…

Estoy intentando en mi canal de «You tube» y a la vez en mi  «Blog» añadir los mejores compositores …algunos eventos… películas  y curiosidades  de la historia del cine….En este caso es Alfred Newman….Del tema «The Enchanted Sea».. Perteneciente al film «Ports of Paradise» he querido añadir la versión que hicieran «The Islanders» en el comienzo de los 60’s……Por considerarla una excelente versión y porque curiosamente la añadió Alfred Newman… sin estar compuesta por Él… Con ellos vamos a dar un paseo por algunas de la películas… para las  que «Alfred Newman» compuso su Banda Sonora…

Hoy se cumple  el tercer aniversario  del fallecimiento de  Mitchell William Miller (Rochester, 4 de julio de 1911 – 31 de julio de 2010), conocido como Mitch Miller, fue un músico, cantante, director y productor musical ..Se trata de uno de los artistas de mayor éxito de los años cincuenta y comienzos de los sesenta. Fue también ejecutivo de la Columbia Records durante muchos años y lideró durante muchos años su propio coro masculino, “Mitch Miller and the Gang”, antes de abandonarlo él mismo… Los mayores éxitos de Miller con el coro fueron “The Yellow Rose of Texas”, una versión baterística de la vieja marcha, y “Colonel Bogey March”, que más tarde disfrutaría de una renovada popularidad tras su uso en la película The Bridge on the River Kwai (1957)

¡¡ En la vida pasan en muchas ocasiones cosas muy curiosas!!… y a mi  me sucedió con este tema que ahora voy añadir….. Durante mucho tiempo anduve  buscando  de que tema  y de que interprete se trataba……¡¡Cosa curiosa … tenía el tema….!! pero no en la versión que añado en el video…..!! Y sigo buscando… que orquesta lo interpreta…. si alguien lo sabe le estaría muy agradecida de que me lo diera a conocer…. si tengo la música es porque perteneció a la sintonía de un programa de Radio de Angel Alvarez y la he podido cortar …¡¡ Miles de gracias de antemano a todos!!
