METRÓPOLIS

Si tuviera que elegir entre los diez «Films» que más me han impactado en mi vida…. sin lugar a dudas «Metrópolis» está entre ellos…Esta es una de las Grandes Obras Maestras del cine..dirigida por Fritz Lang en el año 1927….¡¡causo conmoción!!……¡¡ Y no era para menos!! …..Es de una grandeza tan extraordinaria…..Que sobra en estos momentos todo tipo de comentarios…
La Banda Sonora compuesta por Gottfried Huppertz…. alcanza límites insospechados de creatividad y de riqueza musical..todos ellos llenos de una originalidad inpensable en aquellos momentos…Por esa razón he fundido tres temas de la película :  «Death Descends»…»Josaphat Report» y » End Titles (Restoration)»…..

If I had to choose between the ten «Films» have impacted me most in my life …. undoubtedly «Metrópolis» is among them … This is one of the great masterpieces of cinema .. directed by Fritz Lang in 1927 …caused shock !!……¡ And with good reason! ….. It’s an extraordinary greatness ….. That surplus at this time all comments …
The Soundtrack composed by Gottfried Huppertz .. reaches unsuspected limits of creativity and musical wealth .. all full of originality unthinkable at the time … That is why I cast three themes of the film: «Death Descends» .. . «Josaphat Report » and «End Titles (Restoration)»………

Mientras voy ordenando y transformando un poquito el » Blog» …deseo que escucheís esta maravilla de Suite ..La compuso Johnny Green en el año 1957  para «El Arbol de La vida »  como se llamó en España… «Raintree County»..

Hace pocos días  celebrabamos el cumpleaños de este gran director  Edward Dmytryk junto con Johnny Green como compositor  hicieron una de las películas más impresionantes de la historia.. La Banda Sonora es de una belleza extraordinaria… y hoy deseaba compartirla aquí… «El árbol de la vida»  es una película estadounidense de 1957, dirigida por Edward Dmytryk, protagonizada por la célebre pareja Montgomery Clift y Elizabeth Taylor, secundada por Eva Marie Saint, producida por David Lewis. Fue un intento de la Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer por intentar repetir el éxito de Lo que el viento se llevó. Bastante maltratada por la crítica, recibió las siguientes candidaturas al premio Oscar: Mejor actriz protagonista (Elizabeth Taylor recibió su primera candidatura por su papel de Susanna Drake); Mejor dirección artística; Mejor banda sonora original; y Mejor diseño de vestuario.

The soundtrack is of extraordinary beauty … today and wanted to share it here … «The Tree of Life» is a 1957 American film directed by Edward Dmytryk, starring the legendary duo Montgomery Clift and Elizabeth Taylor, seconded by Eva Marie Saint, produced by David Lewis. It was an attempt by the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer for trying to repeat the success of Gone With the Wind. Pretty battered by critics, received the following nominations for Academy Award: Best Leading Actress (Elizabeth Taylor received his first nomination for his role as Susanna Drake), Best Art Direction, Best Original Score, and Best Costume Design.
